According to @Star1’s exclusive report, actress Park Bo-young was the unnamed “Actress A” referenced in Dispatch’s October 17 report about a star who was barred from entering the W Korea “Love Your W” red carpet in 2024 for not wearing sponsored stockings.

The report revealed that Park Bo-young had been scheduled to wear an outfit from luxury brand V Company, which also provided stockings as part of the ensemble. However, due to a size issue, the stockings could not be worn. When the actress entered the venue bare-legged, W Korea staff reportedly stopped her, stating that “she could not be fully photographed without the stockings.”

An industry insider shared, “Park Bo-young’s team tried to explain the situation, but staff were inflexible about the rule, citing sponsorship obligations.”

When reached for comment, her agency BH Entertainment responded cautiously, stating, “There is no official statement to provide.” The agency also noted the incident occurred a year ago and expressed concern that it could distract from the core issues surrounding the ongoing controversy.

As a result, only cropped photos showing Park Bo-young’s upper body were uploaded to W Korea’s official channels.

The incident resurfaced after the 2025 “Love Your W” campaign—intended to raise awareness for breast cancer prevention—became embroiled in new controversy. This year’s event featured celebrities toasting with champagne and rapper Jay Park performing “Mommae,” a song criticized for its sexually suggestive lyrics, leading to public backlash.

Critics have accused the event of straying from its charitable purpose, turning instead into a “celebrity-exclusive party” that prioritizes luxury and image over advocacy.

Meanwhile, W Korea has not released an official statement addressing either the resurfaced Park Bo-young incident or the ongoing criticism of the 2025 campaign.

As one netizen commented, “A campaign for women’s health should not shame an actress for not wearing a brand’s stockings.”
