Pajamas are 110,000 won? Controversy over the price of BTS’s goods, Jin finally said something

After many complaints arise about the expensive price of his pajama goods, Jin expressed, “I was surprised too.”  

Pajama goods that are directly planned by BTS member Jin have been embroiled in controversy over its high prices. Even Jin said, “What kind of price is this? I was surprised too.”

The agency HYBE unveiled a collection of pajamas and pillow goods through Weverse Shop on Jan 2nd. On the official SNS, they promoted that, “We would like to introduce to you the pajamas and pillows collection completed with Jin’s brilliant plan.” In line with this, Jin also posted and promoted photos of the pajamas through his Instagram. The goods are scheduled to be sold from Jan 17th. 

However, when the price was released, fans complained that the price was too high. Pajamas will be sold for 120,000 won while pillow has also been confirmed to be sold at a price of 70,000 won. Fans pointed out that it is expensive even considering that the goods were planned by Jin himself. 

theqoo netizens said, “The price is really ridiculous,” and “It’s expensive even considering that it’s official goods. Just a little bit more and I can even buy a concert ticket with that price,”, “I wanted to buy it, such a bummer,” and “They are making use of the members’ names because the goods are not selling well.” 

HYBE has been embroiled in a lot of controversy over fan goods even before this. In November last year, the quality of the BTS cassette tape sold at Weverse Shop was a problem, which led to all of them being refunded.

As the controversy continued, BTS Jin, who eventually planned the product, came forward and made a direct statement. He said, “I asked them to use good materials for the pajamas, but the price is… I was surprised, too.” HYBE has not yet come up with any particular position.
