Recently, South Korea is in uproar due to the revelation of a Telegram chatroom, dubbed “New Nth Room”, where various men send sneak footage of females around them and even deepfake pornography videos.
Amid this case, former NCT member Taeil was revealed to have been under investigation for sex crimes, leading many to suspect his involvement with the aforementioned “New Nth room”.
Soon enough, there are talks that a list of over 200 male K-pop idols being involved in the “Nth room” case will be revealed, leaving many fans anxious that their favorite celebrities will also appear.
However, as it turns out, there is never such a list to worry about.
In particular, the only official mention of celebrities being involved in sex chatrooms was back in 2020, during the revelation of the original Nth Room, which involved the assault of minors and women using blackmailing. There was also no number like “over 200 idols” attached to such a statement.
Therefore, while there is a possibility that some idols are involved in the new Nth room case, the information about a list of over 200 male K-pop idols is not true at all.
Additionally, according to the police, the allegations against Taeil has nothing to do with the new Nth room.
