“Only Park Yeon Jin, Jeon Jae Joon and Ha Do Yeong…” Horrifying ending of “The Glory” hidden in new posters?

Interesting foreshadows are hidden in the new posters and trailer for Netflix’s “The Glory” Part 2.

In order to know the foreshadows hidden in “Part 2” posters, it is necessary to look again at the background color of “Part 1” posters.

First, in the posters for “The Glory Part 1”, Park Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon), Jeon Jae Joon (Park Sung Hoon), Lee Sara (Kim Hieora), Choi Hye Jeong (Cha Joo Young), and Son Myeong Oh (Kim Gun Woo) each have yellow, red, purple, blue, and green, as their own background colors, respectively. On the other hand, Moon Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo), Joo Yeo Jeong (Lee Do Hyun), Kang Hyeon Nam (Yeom Hye Ran), and Ha Do Yeong (Jung Sung Il) have the same gray background.

Park Yeon Jin’s yellow is the color of emperors, symbolizing nobility and wealth since ancient times in the East. Jeon Jae Joon’s red is a color with legitimacy, following yellow, symbolizing the king.

Lee Sara’s purple is the color that symbolizes the highest administrative officials and high-ranking religious figures in the West. Choi Hye Jeong’s blue is also an expensive color, although it cannot be compared to red and purple.

Lastly, Son Myung Oh’s green was not treated better than blue in the past due to the disadvantage of easily turning brown. Lower-ranked colors compared to green include gray and brown. In the season 1 posters, the unique color of the perpetrator characters represent the ranking of their wealth, which is clearly visible in the drama.

On the other hand, in “The Glory Part 2” posters released on Feb 9th, Lee Sara’s purple and Choi Hye Jeong’s blue remain the same, while Son Myung Oh’s green is changed to brown. Park Yeon Jin and Jeon Jae Joon’s yellow and red completely turn into black, hinting at a miserable ending.

In the synopsis of “The Glory”, writer Kim Eun Sook described Moon Dong Eun as a person who endured a dark, lightless world filled with anger and hatred.

In addition, in “Part 1” posters, the perpetrators show their eyes looking up at the sky against the background of yellow morning glory blooming toward the ground.

In “Part 2” posters, Moon Dong Eun looks down at the perpetrators, foreshadowing a full-fledged revenge, such as directly strangling them.

In “Part 1” posters, Kang Hyeon Nam and Joo Yeo Jeong look down at the perpetrators against the background of white morning glory blooming towards the sky, implying that they are on the same side as Moon Dong Eun.

The last thing to pay attention to is Ha Do Yeong’s poster. In the “Part 1” poster, he looks down at the ground against a white morning glory background, with only one flower  blooming towards the ground like the perpetrators. He shows a neutral look of a third party, as revealed in the drama.

However, the posters for “Part 2” of Kang Hyeon Nam and Joo Yeo Jeong take the same composition. Considering only the composition of the poster, this may be a hint that Ha Do Yeong is also on Moon Dong Eun’s side.
