After shaving his head, singer and actor Ong Seong Wu is enlisting in the military quietly with no official event.
On April 17th, Ong Seong Wu will join a military training camp quietly, and after completing basic military training, is expected to serve as an active-duty soldier in the army.
Fantagio, his agency, asked for understanding, stating, “The entrance ceremony for new recruits will be held privately, and there will be no official events. Please refrain from visiting the site.”
Previously on the 14th, Ong Seong Wu conducted a live broadcast on his official YouTube channel. Here, the singer-actor appeared with a shaved hairstyle and said, “I tried shaving my head. After today’s fan signing event, I went to the salon and had my hair shaved. As soon as it’s done, I turned on the live broadcast to greet you all.”
He continued, “I thought it would be better to greet you in advance since I will need time to talk with my family when the day comes, and it will be hectic.”
Then, Ong Seong Wu also evoked laughter by asking fans if he looks good with the shaved head, and pleading with them to say he looks good to boost his self-esteem.
When a fan commented, “People don’t shave their heads that short these days”, Ong Seong Wu responded, “I guess I didn’t know. I was really worried. I’ve never cut my hair this short, so I was curious about how it would be. I thought about what kind of feelings I’d have, but it’s more fascinating and new than any other feeling.
