Omega X’s Yechan “Comeback despite ongoing dispute with former agency, it’s like a miracle”

Boy group Omega X shared their thoughts on making a comeback despite the ongoing dispute with their former agency

During the showcase commemorating the release of Omega X’s third mini album “iykyk (if you know, you know)” at the Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul on Nov 7th, Omega X’s Yechan said, “This album feels like a miracle.”

In October last year, Omega X claimed that they had experienced verbal and physical abuse from the CEO of their former agency Spire Entertainment (hereafter Spire). They revealed continuous abuse, mistreatment, coercion to drink, sexual harassment and other improper actions at a press conference in November last year. Subsequently, Omega X filed a provisional disposition lawsuit against their former agency to suspend the effectiveness of their exclusive contract and won last January.

However, Omega X is still in the middle of their dispute with Spire. They expressed their thoughts on making a comeback despite the ongoing dispute.

Jehyun stated, “I’m happy to be able to make a comeback with the members as Omega X after a year and five months. Our fans have made it possible for us to have this chance. We will work hard while showing our gratitude to fans.”

Yechan said, “I wasn’t sure if we could stand on stage again under the name Omega X, so this album feels like a miracle. We prepared diligently and will show good performances.”

Sebin confessed, “Even though it has been a year and five months since our last album, our connection as a group of 11 members has become stronger, and our friendships have deepened. We practiced a lot and developed great chemistry.”

Omega X’s new album “iykyk (if you know, you know)” represents a wish for small yet clear happiness, transcending the attention and criteria of the indiscriminate media. The album includes a total of 5 songs, including the title track “Junk Food” as well as “Louder”, “Touch”, “Hey!” and “Island”.

“iykyk (if you know, you know)” will be released through various online music sites at 6 PM on the same day.
