Omega X’s legal representative refutes Spire Entertainment’s claim + to respond with counter lawsuit

The law firm representing Omega X, Jonjae Law Firm, officially stated on Jan 5th, “In response to reports that Spire Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as Spire) filed a lawsuit against Omega X’s legal representatives in May last year, accusing them of spreading false information, we would like to correct the facts.

Earlier on the same day, Spire claimed, “We filed a defamation lawsuit against lawyers Noh Jong-eon and Seo Joo-yeon, who spread false articles during the time of the press conference and false information about CEO Kang in the mainstream media, last May. However, despite the submission of testimony, witnesses and fact-checking documents from many parties, they have not attended or made statements.”

In this regard, Jonjae Law Firm stated, “It was reported that they filed a defamation lawsuit last May, but until now, 8 months later, we have not received an attendance order related to this from the police, nor have we received any summons. The personal address, phone number and office address have not changed, and the claim that we are intentionally refusing to cooperate with the investigation is baseless and absurd. Regarding the assault, threats, forced sexual advances and abuse mentioned at the press conference last year, two separate preliminary injunction decisions, namely, the effectiveness suspension preliminary injunction decision on the exclusive contract and the broadcast deletion preliminary injunction decision on YouTuber In Ji-woong, have confirmed through the court that such actions occurred.

Omega X claimed in 2022 that they were verbally and physically abused by Spire’s CEO during their time with the agency, revealing ongoing assault and abuse, including coercion into drinking, sexual harassment, etc.

Later, Omega X filed a lawsuit against their former agency for an injunction on the exclusive contract, winning the case in January 2023.
