Omega X Accuses Former CEO Of Spreading False Sexual Assault Information

Omega X’s agency explained the ongoing lawsuit against the former CEO, who claimed to have been sexually assaulted by the members

On March 19th, Omega X’s agency IPQ said, “On October 22nd, 2022, we filed a lawsuit against Spire Entertainment’s former CEO Kang Sung-hee for assaulting Omega X member Jaehan in the hallway in front of the elevator on the first floor of the hotel in Los Angeles, USA. After a long investigation, Kang Sung-hee’s assault was confirmed on March 12th, 2024 and the CEO has been prosecuted”.

They continued, “We’ve decided to withdraw the complaint for obstruction of business, which was filed alongside the assault lawsuit, after reaching an agreement in the lawsuit regarding the termination of the members’ exclusive contracts. However, Kang Sung-hee is still under investigation on charges of sexual harassment and abuse of power at work as well as defamation and interference with business by spreading false information. In addition, our company is also proceeding with the main lawsuit regarding the exclusive contract termination”.

IPQ emphasized their plan to continuously collect data, saying “Spire Entertainment was subjected to suspending the exclusive contracts in January 2023 according to the court’s decision, which acknowledged the charges, such as assault, verbal abuse and other misconducts towards Omega X members. Despite the revelation of evidence of the CEO’s threats, including forced attendance at drinking gatherings, Spire Entertainment continues to cause significant harm to Omega X members’ activities by spreading false information”

Earlier, Omega X members claimed that former CEO Kang committed forced harassment against them. On March 18th, Spire Entertainment said, “We will hold a press conference on the forced harassment case of Omega X on the 19th”. They stated, “Former CEO Kang claimed that she was sexually assaulted by Omega X in the past”, adding that the agency will reveal CCTV footage at the press conference.
