Actress Oh Yeon-seo's fresh-faced idol days were revealed

On May 29th, MBC’s “Radio Star” featured a special episode titled “War of Actors” with guests Song Seung-heon, Lee Si-eon, Oh Yeon-seo and Jang Gyu-ri.

Oh Yeon-seo shared that she was part of the second-generation girl group LUV, which also included Jeon Hye-bin, and they promoted as a trio for about eight months. Oh Yeon-seo debuted with LUV in 2002, performing with their first album “Story Orange Girl”. She reflected, “It didn’t go well, maybe because it was during the World Cup season. Back then, our rivals were groups like SUGAR and M.I.L.K..

A video clip of Oh Yeon-seo’s live performance with LUV was shown, highlighting that they performed without relying on AR. Kim Gura commented “It’s different from the recording“, which brought laughter. Oh Yeon-seo reminisced, “We performed 100% live back then, and there were no in-ears.” Kim Gura added, “Nowadays, there’s some backing, but back then it was completely live.

Oh Yeon-seo explained, “I debuted suddenly. Originally, Hwang Bo-ra was supposed to debut, but it didn’t work out, so I was cast instead. I debuted after about four months of preparation. The activities were very tough, and I missed my mom and dad. I didn’t have any regrets when the activities ended quickly.
