On September 16, Oh Hayoung and fellow member Park Chorong guested on the YouTube channel Xiumin’s Ramen Store. During the broadcast, they looked back on their variety show experiences as third-generation idols who once appeared on nearly every popular program, from Sponge to Strong Heart, 1000 Song Challenge, Vitamin, and Law of the Jungle.
Park Chorong shared that she had volunteered for Law of the Jungle and even enjoyed her experience in Fiji, though the hardest part was not being able to wash properly or sleep comfortably. However, Oh Hayoung’s story was far less positive. She recalled her time filming in Papua New Guinea: “I cried every day. It was a female-special episode, and although the older members took good care of me, I was the youngest and had trouble adjusting. It rained heavily, and I developed blisters on my legs. My body was in bad shape. Looking back, it was fun to watch on TV, but at the time it was really hard.”

When asked if she had volunteered for the program, Oh Hayoung admitted she hadn’t: “The CEO at the time, who isn’t with us anymore, said, ‘If you don’t do this, I’ll cancel all your schedules.’ I had no choice but to go.” Her candid revelation shocked Park Chorong, who exclaimed, “Really?” upon hearing it for the first time.
