It’s well known that the One Piece world is vast, yet very little is understood about its full scope. Geographically, the world consists of scattered islands and is mostly covered by ocean. A massive landmass known as the Red Line stretches around the planet, intersected by the Grand Line and the Calm Belts on its two sides, where no winds blow. These geographical features divide the world into four seas: **North Blue, South Blue, East Blue, **and West Blue.
Thanks to the Egghead Arc, fans have learned that 900 years ago, the planet was not as submerged in water as it is today. A massive war from the past sank much of the world by 200 meters, implying that the One Piece world we now see is a post-apocalyptic version of an older civilization.

Lilith, one of the Vegapunks, also mentioned discovering an ancient scientific facility in Elbaf, estimated to be at least 3,000 years old — confirming Elbaf’s direct link to the First World and its states as one of the oldest nations in the One Piece world.
Other ancient nations include Arabasta, with a castle built 4,000 years ago, and Ohara, where the Tree of Knowledge was planted 5,000 years ago. However, Elbaf may be even older, especially due to its ties to the Sun God Nika and the extended lifespans of the Giants, particularly the Ancient Giants.
This connection is not new. Vegapunk previously revealed that the myth of Nika originated in Elbaf, and Joy Boy, wielder of the Nika power, was directly compared to a legendary Elbaf figure— possibly meaning Nika was a giant who lived over 3,000 years ago.
