“October Comeback Rumor” G-Dragon, Will He Perform at the “MAMA Awards” in November?

On August 2nd, reports from the music industry indicate that G-Dragon is seriously considering an offer to perform at the “MAMA Awards”, a major music awards ceremony organized by CJ ENM, scheduled for November.
G-Dragon has a special connection with the “MAMA Awards”, having delivered several legendary performances as part of Big Bang. Notably, his 2014 unit performance with Taeyang is still remembered as one of the most iconic moments in “MAMA” history.
As G-Dragon’s comeback later this year has been confirmed, there is growing anticipation about whether he will appear on various music award stages at the end of the year, particularly at the “MAMA Awards”.
Regarding this, a representative from G-Dragon’s agency Galaxy Corporation told Ilgan Sports, “We have received offers for various great stages, including MAMA, but nothing has been decided yet.“
CJ ENM, the organizer of the event, declined to comment on whether G-Dragon would be performing at the “MAMA Awards”.
This year’s “MAMA Awards” is scheduled to take place on November 21st (local time) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, USA, followed by two days at the Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan on November 22nd and 23rd.
G-Dragon is currently preparing for a solo comeback later this year. Although rumors of an October comeback spread following a statement by broadcaster Park Myung-soo, his agency clarified that “the comeback date has not been definitively set for October. It’s still under discussion”.
Additionally, it was revealed earlier today that G-Dragon had received the trademark rights to his name from YG Entertainment in May. News of a potential end-of-year concert at Gocheok Sky Dome has further heightened fans’ expectations.
G-Dragon debuted in 2006 with Big Bang. The group released numerous hit songs like “Lies”, “Haru Haru”, “Bang Bang Bang” and “Still Life”. As a solo singer, he has also been recognized for hits like “That XX”, “Untitled, 2014” and “Crooked”.
