On Dec 28th (local time), the U.S. movie review site TC Candler revealed the chart for “The 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2023” through their official SNS.
In this chart, many K-pop idol members were recognized. Firstly, MOMOLAND’s Nancy achieved the honor of being the most beautiful face in the world. Nancy debuted with girl group MOMOLAND in 2016 and is currently active as a musical actress.
Following her, TWICE’s Sana ranked 3rd and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo secured the 9th position. Other BLACKPINK members also made it to the rankings, with Rosé, Lisa and Jennie at 12th, 14th, and 23rd places, respectively.
In addition, TWICE’s Tzuyu ranked 11th, former After School member Nana at 15th, singer Jeon Somi at 17th and IVE’s Jang Wonyoung at 27th.
In the male category, BTS’s V claimed the 10th spot, earning the title of the most handsome man in Korea. Other BTS members also secured positions in the rankings, with Jungkook, Jimin and Jin at 16th, 46th, and 67th places, respectively. Additionally, ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo ranked 56th, and SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu was placed 69th.
TC Candler announces the most beautiful faces in the world annually, selecting candidates from over 50 countries. The purpose is to promote modern ideals of global beauty.
It is worth noting that in 2014 and 2015, former After School member Nana gained attention for becoming the first Asian to top the list for 2 consecutive years. Afterwards, BTS’s V and Jungkook, as well as BLACKPINK’s Lisa, also ranked first.
