‘North Korean defector’ Actress Kim A-ra Is Getting Married, A Real Life Version of “Crash Landing On You”

Actress Kim A-ra, who escaped from North Korea and starred in “Crash Landing on You”, will get married

On October 28th, Kim A-ra will tie the knot with a non-celebrity man at their private wedding attended by families, relatives and close acquaintances in Seoul.

Earlier in September, Kim A-ra announced the news of her marriage. She said, “I’m getting married at the end of this October. I would like to deliver this news to people who have been watching and supporting me for a long time because I want to share the joy of this good news with you all”.

According to officials, Kim A-ra met the groom-to-be at a church and developed into lovers. After dating for a while, the two decided to get married. 

The actress added, “Please congratulate me a lot and I will make a beautiful and happy family.”

Kim A-ra made her debut through a drama by director Park Sun-jae. Since then she has starred in various series and movies, such as “Tempted”, “Ugly Miss Young-ae”, “Beautiful Days”, “The Soul-Mate”, as well as theater plays. In particular, she also played a supporting role in “Crash Landing on You” and showed her passionate acting.
