Lawyer Noh Young Hee, who was once reportedly set to represent former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, appeared on the YouTube show Maebul Show to share Min’s views on the ongoing controversy involving NewJeans and their return to ADOR.
On the November 17 broadcast, Noh appeared alongside lawyer Jeon Se Joon, with each presenting perspectives aligned with Min Hee Jin and ADOR, respectively. During the discussion, Noh relayed Min’s initial reaction to hearing that all five NewJeans members intended to return to ADOR—a development she viewed as natural and worthy of support.

“Min said things like, ‘I knew all five would come back, and I congratulated them,’ and ‘I shouldn’t hold them back,’” Noh explained. However, confusion arose when ADOR indicated it would need further confirmation from some of the members, implying an unclear or fragmented response. This raised suspicions and emotional frustration on Min’s part.
Noh elaborated, “From Min’s side, it was understood that all five would return, and since the appeal period had ended, it was expected they’d resume activities under ADOR. She questioned why ADOR would turn this into a ‘3:2’ situation, creating an unnecessary divide.”
Min had echoed this sentiment in a second public statement shared via Noh’s YouTube channel on November 15, stating, “NewJeans exists as five. The girls must be protected, not exploited.”

Noh clarified during the broadcast that she didn’t appear on the show to defend Min but to shed light on the parts Min felt were misrepresented. She also explained that she initially accepted legal representation for Min but stepped back due to the case’s magnitude, deciding it would be difficult to dedicate the required effort.
Furthermore, Noh revealed and discussed the official decision from police to not pursue charges against Min in the business breach of trust case. The document reportedly concluded that Min’s actions appeared aimed at protecting ADOR’s interests, and that the term “exit” in question did not refer to a hostile takeover, but rather a standard put option scenario following a five-year CEO term under shareholder agreement.

As of now, all five NewJeans members—Haerin, Hyein, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle—have expressed their intention to return to ADOR. Haerin and Hyein were the first to do so on November 12, followed by the remaining three later that same day. However, ADOR has stated that it is still “confirming intent and coordinating individually” with the three members who responded later.
The evolving situation has fueled both legal scrutiny and public debate over ADOR’s handling of the group’s comeback, with many questioning whether the agency’s responses are truly aligned with the members’ wishes.
