Noh Yoo Jung rose to fame through the hit SBS sitcom LA Arirang, where she received immense love from viewers. However, at the peak of her career, she suddenly vanished from the spotlight, leaving many fans wondering what had happened.
In the newly released clip, she shared the hardships she endured after stepping away from the industry. “I washed dishes for five to six hours just to earn 10,000 won,” she revealed, drawing sympathy from viewers.
She also spoke candidly about her health struggles. “One day, fluid started building up in my knees, and I developed degenerative arthritis. I often thought about how badly I wanted to escape from this pain,” she said, raising further curiosity about the difficult period she went through.
Noh Yoo Jung originally debuted in 1986 as a special recruit comedian for MBC. She later married actor Lee Young Bum, whom she met while co-starring in LA Arirang. The couple had one son and one daughter before mutually agreeing to divorce in April 2015, choosing to go their separate ways.
Recently, she appeared on the YouTube channel for MBN’s “Teugjongsesang – That Person Back Then”, where she shared updates about her current life. Now working in a restaurant kitchen, she addressed her dishwashing job with quiet resilience.
“Even if it’s just washing dishes, I’m grateful that there’s something I can do,” she said, reflecting a sense of acceptance and strength despite the challenges she has faced.
