Nicky Wu and Liu Shishi have been frequently targeted by divorce rumors for years. Previously, on May 21, Chinese entertainment was rocked as a rumor of divorce between superstar couple Nicky Wu and Liu Shishi took over social media.
According to Sohu, an entertainment blogger with a proven track record, previously breaking the Yang Mi – Hawick Lau divorce story in 2018, claimed that the beloved Scarlet Heart co-stars had “gone their separate ways” and had signed a secret divorce agreement. The agreement allegedly covers the division of 800 million CNY (about $110 million USD) in shared assets.
Fueling speculation, fans noticed that Nicky Wu logged into his personal account during the social media frenzy yet made no statement, while Liu Shishi remained silent. The couple’s lack of response has only intensified belief that the marriage may indeed be over.
The pair has been under scrutiny since early 2025, with signs of marital strain becoming increasingly visible. On February 20, Liu Shishi transferred 5% of her shares in Jiangsu Xizi Investment Co., Ltd., which she co-founded with Nicky Wu, sparking theories that the two were preparing to divide assets. The company, valued at 42 million CNY, was established in March 2024.
