After Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo are divorced, what will happen to the division of the two’s assets?

Today, Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo surprised the public by the announcement that they applied to the Seoul Family Court for a divorce settlement. If the court fails to conciliate the divorce, it will go to trial through a lawsuit.

In particular, the public is paying attention to the division of assets between the two, whose assets similar to those called chaebol (conglomerate). Their asset was even compared to “the level of mergers between small and medium-sized companies” at the time of their marriage. In response, “News 8” predicted smooth results due to the short marriage period and the large number of assets each of them had had before marriage.

Seo Hye-jin, a lawyer, told News 8 that the marriage was relatively short even if the time they lived separately was included, and that they don’t need to maintain the others’ property or anything.

Previously, there were rumors of living separately surrounding Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo. This is because the two have never worked together since their marriage. “News 8” quoted a source from the broadcaster as saying, “It’s been a long time since the rumor spread, and the atmosphere was suspicious somehow.
