NewJeans’s Danielle Confesses Feelings Amid HYBE & Min Hee-jin Dispute, “I Can’t Sleep… Stormy Days Will Pass”

NewJeans member Danielle expressed her feelings amid the intensifying conflict between HYBE and ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin

On May 19th, Danielle communicated with fans through the fan communication platform Phoning. She said, “To be honest, I can’t sleep well these days. That’s why I’m looking for many ways to sleep. I listened to music and took a hot shower! I asked the members to stay with me at night. Fortunately, I slept very well yesterday”.

She continued, “Everything happens for a reason anyway. It’s tough now but it shall pass in the end. Like a bad dream or a stormy day! Then you won’t even remember how it all begins”, adding, “I think you just need to endure to get through it”.

Receiving Daniele’s messages, fans also expressed admiration for her mature mindset and sent her supportive words hoping for her good health and happiness.

Earlier on the 8th, Danielle worried fans when confessed on Phoning, “Thank you so much for your concern and support”, adding “I feel so heavy these days, but I’m practicing to prepare good performances for you guys. You don’t have to worry. Please look forward to it”.

Danielle’s group Newjeans will release the double single “How Sweet” in Korea on May 24th. Also, the group will make their debut in Japan with the single “Supernatural” on June 21st.

Even in the middle of the legal battle, NewJeans is still gaining popularity. All tickets for two days of NewJeans’s fanmeeting “Bunnies Camp 2024” to be held at Tokyo Dome in Japan from the 26th and 27th of May have been sold out. The girl group will enter Tokyo Dome for the first time one year and 11 months after their debut, breaking the fastest record for a foreign artist.

Meanwhile, HYBE filed a lawsuit against ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin on charges of breach of duty, claiming that the female CEO attempted to take over the management rights of the label ADOR. In response, CEO Min held an emergency press conference to refute all the allegations.

Ahead of the shareholders’ meeting scheduled for May 31st to decide whether to dismiss Min Hee-jin from the CEO position, Min Hee-jin filed a provisional injunction to ban HYBE’s exercise of voting rights. The parents of NewJeans members also reportedly appointed Kang Jin-seok, a lawyer specializing in entertainment disputes, and submitted a petition to the court. It is known that the petition contains support for CEO Min and their desire to work with her in the future.
