NewJeans has been confirmed to perform at the halftime show of the Bayern Munich (Munich) vs. Tottenham Hotspur (Tottenham) match. Halftime refers to the break in the middle of a game.
On July 18, NewJeans’ agency, ADOR, announced that NewJeans will perform at the halftime show of the “2024 Coupang Play Series” Munich vs. Tottenham match, which will take place at 8 p.m (KST) on August 3 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
Regarding this, NewJeans stated, “We are thrilled to perform at the halftime show of the Coupang Play Series featuring the dream match between Munich and Tottenham. We will present a stage that will further heat up the excitement in the stadium.”
The match between Munich, with player Kim Min-jae, and Tottenham, with player Son Heung-min, is a highly anticipated big match. This will be Munich’s first visit to Korea since their founding in 1900. With significant attention from soccer fans, NewJeans’ performance is expected to draw even more interest.
Coupang Play, the direct host, organizer, and broadcaster of the annual sports event Coupang Play Series, has successfully invited six prestigious clubs from four European leagues (Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1, and Bundesliga) over the past three years. Previously, TWICE was announced to perform at the halftime show of the first match between Team K League and Tottenham.
