This is the shortest time period ever achieved by any K-pop artist. It is a remarkable achievement accomplished in less than a year. The previous record was held by BTS Jungkook with 409 days.

Guinness World Records said, “On March 8, 2023, NewJeans achieved 1 billion streams on Spotify in just 219 days, faster than any other K-pop artist.”

Guinness World Records emphasized that this achievement was made with just six songs on NewJeans’ discography, including “Attention,” “Hype boy,” “Cookie,” “Hurt,” “OMG,” and “Ditto.”
