NewJeans ranked first in girl group brand reputation in September

The September 2023 Big Data analysis of girl group brand reputation in South Korea was unveiled

The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed a total of 51,632,684 pieces of brand big data measured from the 10th of last month to the 10th of this month to assess the brand reputation index of girl groups based on participation index, media index, communication index, and community index. Compared to the brand big data for girl groups in August, which totaled 46,858,362 pieces, there was a 15.94% increase.

NewJeans, who secured the 1st place in the girl group brand reputation, had a brand reputation index of 7,674,756, with a participation index of 1,074,740, media index of 1,745,456, communication index of 2,515,718, and community index of 2,338,842. Compared to the brand reputation index in August, which was 8,246,017, there was a 6.93% decrease.

In 2nd place, BLACKPINK had a brand reputation index of 4,475,289, with a participation index of 272,476, media index of 1,159,305, communication index of 733,799, and community index of 2,313,128. Compared to the brand reputation index in August, which was 4,206,378, there was a 6.39% increase.

In 3rd place, NMIXX had a brand reputation index of 3,493,470, with a participation index of 182,892, media index of 426,846, communication index of 1,334,665, and community index of 1,549,067. Compared to the brand reputation index in August, which was 1,653,661, there was a 111.26% increase.

In 4th place, IVE had a brand reputation index of 3,421,212, with a participation index of 415,480, media index of 1,102,513, communication index of 708,769, and community index of 1,194,450. Compared to the brand reputation index in August, which was 3,226,636, there was a 6.23% increase.

In 5th place, LE SSERAFIM had a brand reputation index of 3,329,951, with a participation index of 263,568, media index of 679,823, communication index of 893,930, and community index of 1,492,630. Compared to the brand reputation index in August, which was 3,395,502, there was a 1.79% decrease.

Changhwan Goo, the director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, commented on the brand reputation analysis, saying, “In the September 2023 analysis of girl group brand reputation, NewJeans ranked first. When analyzing the subcategories, we found that brand consumption decreased by 5.90%, brand issues decreased by 5.62%, brand communication increased by 50.48%, and brand spread increased by 19.40% compared to August’s girl group brand big data of 46,858,362 pieces.”

He also added, “In the link analysis of NewJeans, who ranked 1st in girl group brand reputation in September 2023, keywords such as ‘freshness,’ ‘attractiveness,’ and ‘cuteness’ were prominent, while in keyword analysis, ‘Super Shy,’ ‘OST,’ and ‘Billboard’ were highly mentioned.”
