NewJeans, Japanese debut concept is “street fashion”

Girl group NewJeans raised expectations for a groundbreaking Japanese debut activity through consecutive collaborations with giants in the cultural and arts industry

According to the agency ADOR on May 11th, NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) teamed up with Hiroshi Fujiwara, a renowned Japanese music producer and musician, also known as the godfather of Japanese street fashion.

Hiroshi Fujiwara designed T-shirts, bandanas, hats, bags and more for NewJeans. They are known as “NewJeans X Hiroshi Fujiwara” items. Various graphics, including NewJeans’ team name, member names and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s name, along with Hangul handwritten by Hiroshi Fujiwara himself, were incorporated into the designs.

On the same day, NewJeans posted photos of themselves wearing the items on their official SNS. The hip visuals of the members, exuding a street sensibility, caught the attention of many.

NewJeans will release their Japanese debut single “Supernatural” on June 21st. Although it is a Japanese single, it will be distributed simultaneously in Korea and globally. Additionally, on June 26th~27th, NewJeans will hold their Japanese debut showcase at the Tokyo Dome.
