In the 2025 Gallup Korea survey conducted in July, September, and November, NewJeans was ranked 5th in the “Most Outstanding Singers of the Year” among respondents aged 13 to 39, securing 12.0% of the votes. The survey polled 5,148 individuals nationwide (excluding Jeju), focusing on music preferences by age group.
Among those under 40, IU led with 20.1%, followed by BLACKPINK, aespa, and IVE, with NewJeans rounding out the top five. While the group faced an inactive year following agency-related disruptions in March, their strong showing highlights the lasting impact of their music and the dedication of their fanbase.

Notably, NewJeans had previously topped the same Gallup survey in both 2023 and 2024 as the No.1 singer among the younger generation. Although their absence from the stage this year was significant, ranking in the top 5 without new promotional activities speaks volumes about their cultural presence and enduring popularity.
Their songs also made a mark. In the “Song of the Year” category for ages 13–39, “How Sweet” and “Hype Boy” didn’t crack the top 10 but still received over 1.5% of the vote, a noteworthy feat in a demographic that heavily favors new releases. This suggests that NewJeans’ previous hits continue to resonate with listeners even without fresh content.

Overall, the survey showed that younger audiences remain heavily influenced by idol-driven K-pop. Yet, within this competitive landscape, NewJeans stands out for maintaining high recognition and loyalty—an impressive feat for a group in temporary hiatus. Their 2025 ranking is not just a reflection of short-term hype, but a testament to their lasting brand and the strong connection they’ve built with fans.
