On October 4, Warner Music Australia announced via its official social media that Olivia Marsh would be performing at the ‘South by Southwest Sydney (SXSW Sydney)’ showcase on October 16.
SXSW is a renowned music festival held every March in Austin, Texas, USA. Alongside the UK’s The Great Escape and France’s MIDEM, it is considered one of the world’s top three music markets. It is famous for serving as a conference where artists and business professionals from various fields, including music, film, and IT, gather.
SXSW Sydney has been held in Sydney since 2023. Like the main event, it features conferences and showcases in music, film, and gaming. At this year’s SXSW Sydney, Warner Music Australia’s showcase will feature artists from various countries, including Olivia Marsh, Bean Magazine, CHISEKO, and Jason Dhakal.
Olivia Marsh, set to debut in October, is the first artist revealed by the newly established global label MPLIFY. The fact that a rookie artist who hasn’t even officially debuted yet has been invited to one of the world’s largest stages shows the significant global attention she’s already receiving. Anticipation is building for her performance on the 16th.
Previously, Star Today reported that Danielle would be featured on Olivia’s debut album, and that Danielle’s voice would be added to Olivia’s debut track, drawing significant attention both domestically and internationally.
On Sep 24th, Olivia Marsh’s agency MPLIFY told TV Daily, “The news about NewJeans’ Danielle featuring on Olivia Marsh’s debut song is not true. There has been no discussion regarding this matter.”
