Bugs, a music platform in Korea, has released its year-end review where NewJeans and IVE triumph
On December 15, Bugs announced the rankings for the platform’s most beloved songs, albums, artists, and videos, calculated based on the streaming and download counts of Bugs members throughout 2023.
In 2023, the most beloved song of Bugs members was NewJeans‘ “Ditto”, followed by NewJeans’ “Hype Boy.” In addition, IVE’s “I AM,” NewJeans’ “OMG,” and Younha’s “Event Horizon” secured positions in the top five.
Notably, NewJeans and IVE each claimed 4 and 3 songs in the top 10 most beloved songs, demonstrating continued popularity following their success last year.
Meanwhile, NewJeans’ album “New Jeans” secured the first place for the most beloved album, while IVE’s first full-length album, “I’ve IVE,” took the second spot.
NewJeans’ second EP, “Get Up,” claimed the third position, followed by aespa’s “MY WORLD”, LE SSERAFIM’s “UNFORGIVEN”, BLACKPINK’s “BORN PINK”, LE SSERAFIM’s “ANTIFRAGILE”, and (G)I-DLE’s “I FEEL” in 4th to 8th places.
Moreover, NewJeans was ranked among the most beloved artists on Bugs, solidifying their formidable presence.
Finally, IVE’s “I AM” music video was chosen as the most beloved video by Bugs members. “After LIKE,” “Kitsch,” and “ELEVEN” secured the 2nd, 3rd, and 6th positions, respectively, while (G)I-DLE’s “Queencard” and Jisoo’s “Flower” MVs claimed the 4th and 5th spots.
