NewJeans Achieves “Million Seller” Status with Every Album, Including Their Latest One
NewJeans, which has been achieving impressive results on music charts, added another significant record with their album sales
According to their agency ADOR on June 8th, NewJeans‘ double single “How Sweet”, which was released on May 24th, sold a total of 1,085,355 copies (including both the standard and Weverse versions) as of Circle Chart’s May album chart. With this, NewJeans has elevated all four albums they have released since their debut in July 2022 to million-seller status.
Their previous works, including their debut album “New Jeans” and the single album “OMG”, have each sold over 1.59 million and 1.66 million copies, respectively. Notably, their second EP “Get Up” became NewJeans’ first double million-seller album, selling over 2.14 million copies.
NewJeans’ digital performance is equally impressive. The title track “How Sweet”, along with “Bubble Gum”, has maintained a strong presence at the top of major domestic music charts such as Melon, Genie and Bugs.
Additionally, on Spotify’s latest “Weekly Top Songs Global” chart (tracking period from May 31st to June 6th), “How Sweet” ranked at 119, marking its second consecutive week on the chart. This song also performed well on the latest Billboard charts (week of June 8th), securing the 7th position on the “Global Excl. US” chart, 12th on the “Bubbling Under Hot 100” and 15th on the “Global 200”.
Meanwhile, NewJeans will appear on KBS 2TV’s “2 Days & 1 Night” on June 9th.
