Recently, Chinese netizens discovered that Lay no longer appeared in the list of EXO members on SM’s homepage. This is raising the suspicion that the male idol also left EXO, not just SM Entertainment.
Notably, SNSD is not in this situation even though 3 members Seohyun, Sooyoung, and Tiffany also left SM Entertainment to pursue new careers in 2018. The lineup of SNSD on SM’s webpage, however, still has eight members.
The keyword “EXO’s member list no longer has Zhang Yixing’s name” is also climbing to the top hot search on the entertainment board on Weibo.
Before that, right on EXO’s anniversary, Lay announced his departure from SM Ent. However, he insisted he is still an EXO member.
