Netflix has officially announced that its highly anticipated Korean series The Price of Confession will premiere on Friday, December 5. Alongside the release date, the platform unveiled a chilling teaser poster and trailer, signaling its major investment in Korean content continues reportedly pouring over ₩30 billion (~$22 million USD) into the production.

The Price of Confession is a mystery thriller centered on Yoon Soo, a woman accused of murdering her husband, and Mo Eun, an enigmatic figure known as a “witch.” As their fates intertwine behind prison walls, the story explores the cost of confession and the secrets that bind two seemingly opposite women.
The teaser poster captures the haunting image of Yoon Soo (played by Jeon Do-yeon) and Mo Eun (played by Kim Go-eun) leaning against opposite sides of a prison wall, dressed in identical prison uniforms. Yoon Soo’s desperate gaze contrasts starkly with Mo Eun’s vacant expression, hinting at the psychological battle and hidden agendas between them.

With the tagline “Suspicious innocence, confession for sale,” the series raises questions about truth, manipulation, and what each woman stands to lose or gain from a deadly bargain.
The teaser trailer intensifies this tension. It opens with a blood-covered Yoon Soo cradling her dying husband as she dials emergency services. Her unsettling calm during police questioning and at his funeral draws suspicion, even as she tearfully declares her innocence in front of a crowd, leaving viewers unsure whether to trust her or fear her.
Meanwhile, Mo Eun, who observes Yoon Soo from the shadows of a gruesome crime scene, eventually confronts her in prison. She offers a twisted deal: she’ll confess to killing Yoon Soo’s husband in exchange for a favor one Yoon Soo may not be able to refuse.
Caught in a web of deception, prosecutor Baek Dong-hoon (played by Park Hae-soo) and defense lawyer Jang Jung-gu (Jin Seon-kyu) both pursue the truth, each uncertain of who to believe. “In the end… we’re really going to do this crazy thing,” Mo Eun declares ominously, hinting at the dangerous pact that lies at the heart of the show.

With powerhouse performances by Jeon Do-yeon and Kim Go-eun and a storyline that fuses psychological tension, suspense, and dark intrigue, The Price of Confession is poised to be Netflix’s next big Korean hit. The series premieres exclusively on Netflix on December 5.
