Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee will greet the viewers through new drama “Gyeongseong Creature”.
Netflix series “Gyeongseong Creature” is a thriller set in the spring of 1945 when Gyeongseong was in its darkest era and it depicts the story of two young people confronting a strange creature born of greed for survival.
Screenwriter Kang Eun-kyung, who has been well loved for her amazing scripts of diverse genres through dramas “Dr. Romantic”, “Gu Family Book”, etc., joined hands with director Jeong Dong-yun, who proved his detailed and intense directing through “Hot Stove League”, to invite the viewers to the turbulent era of Gyeongseong in 1945.
Park Seo-joon, who has continued his unrivaled record in box office success with continuous hit dramas, such as “Itaewon Class”, “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim”, etc., will lead the drama as Jang Tae-sang, the major shareholder of pawnshop Geumwokdang and the wealthiest in Gyeongseong. Jang Tae-sang, also known as Gyeongseong’s No.1 informant, prioritizes money over justice but gets entangled with Yoon Chae-ok while investigating a series of missing cases and faces a completely different life.
Han So-hee, who has proved her irreplaceable presence by appearing in various dramas of different genres, such as Netflix series “My Name”, “Nevertheless”, etc., will be performing Yoon Chae-ok, a specialist in finding missing people. Yoon Chae-ok is quick-witted and has sharp eyes as a specialist who has been doing the job of looking for missing people with her father in Manchuria and Shanghai since her childhood.
Many trustworthy actors with excellent acting skills also joined the cast lineup. Soo-hyun (Claudia Kim), who has carried out global acting projects with the movie “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and Netflix series “Marco Polo”, will play Maeda, the hostess of a powerful family in Gyeongseong. Maeda, who always shows a poker face, is expected to increase the tension after getting intertwined in the series of missing cases. Kim Hae-sook, who is loved for her acting in many famous works, such as “Inspector Koo” and “Hospital Playlist”, shows off her presence as Na Wol-taek, Geumokdang butler and Jang Tae-sang’s strong supporter.
Jo Han-chul, who portrayed various faces through “Hometown Cha Cha Cha”, “Vincenzo”, etc., will add weight to the story by taking on the role of Yoon Chae-ok’s father Yoon Jung-won, who has been chasing after the disappearances of people since a decade. In addition, Wi Ha-joon, who impressed the small screen audience with his performance in Netflix hit “Squid Game”, will play Kwon Jun-taek, a close friend of Jang Tae-sang and a soldier for independence. Kwon Jun-taek will join Jang Tae-sang’s dangerous journey to save his missing teammates.
“Gyeongseong Creature”, which is expected to provide a lot of fun with the heated confrontation between humans and monsters that appeared in Gyeongseong 1945, will be released on Netflix soon.
