Neither GD nor Jennie… Who is the only Korean in Glamour’s “The 10 biggest style icons of 2021”?
“The 10 biggest style icons of 2021” selected by famous British fashion magazine Glamour has been released. A Korean artist was named in this list.
However, it was not BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon or BLACKPINK‘s Jennie.
Glamour announced “The 10 biggest style icons of 2021” on its official website on Dec 16th (local time).
Among Korean artists, the only person to be in “The 10 biggest style icons of 2021” is EXO‘s Kai. The male idol is receiving a lot of attention as he was proudly listed along with global stars such as Zendaya, Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, Harry Styles, Lady Gaga…
This is the moment when high global interest in Kai is confirmed once again.
In particular, Glamour explained, “Kai went solo in 2020 and quickly landed a collaboration with Gucci, marking the first time the Italian fashion house has worked with a Korean celebrity on a collection.”
The magazine added, “When it dropped in April, the collection sold out almost immediately and online searches for the high fashion label spiked 264%.”
Kai was chosen as Gucci‘s global ambassador in 2019 and has been active ever since.
