Former Miss Hong Kong 1998 runner-up Natalie Ng Man-yan is facing a heartbreaking personal and health crisis, as she reveals her breast cancer has returned and progressed to stage 4. Amid her fight for survival, she’s also dealing with the collapse of her 14-year marriage to billionaire husband Chan Kim-ling, reportedly due to the rising costs and severity of her illness.
Natalie Ng Man-yan, 49, shared that her breast cancer has metastasized to her lymph nodes and coccyx. Diagnosed in 2022, she has spent the last three years undergoing treatments while trying to stay strong for her two children. In late 2023, her health took a dire turn, with severe complications requiring a 16-day hospital stay due to fluid buildup in her heart and lungs.

Rather than give up, Natalie has chosen to fight. Recently, she shaved her head — a powerful symbol of her ongoing struggle.
The most devastating blow came not from her diagnosis, but from her personal life. In June, Natalie officially announced her divorce from Chan Kim-ling. While she has not disclosed specific reasons, multiple reports suggest the wealthy businessman left her due to the financial burden and emotional toll of her deteriorating health, which had shown little improvement despite costly treatments.

Once living in luxury, Natalie has now had to vacate her upscale villa and sell off her personal belongings at discounted prices to afford medical care and support her 10-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son.

Born in 1974, Natalie Ng Man-yan rose to fame as the second runner-up at the 1998 Miss Hong Kong pageant, and became a familiar face on Hong Kong television throughout the early 2000s. She left the entertainment industry in 2011 after marrying Chan Kim-ling to focus on family life. Her current plight — a former beauty queen now battling cancer alone and financially struggling — has stirred an outpouring of sympathy from the public.
