On October 2, After School alum and actress Nana posted on her personal account, “I don’t regret it. I left only the one tattoo that carries true meaning for me.”
She explained, “1968 — the year my most respected person, my mother, was born. I’ve returned with a clean body. Through enduring pain, I grew stronger, and even past scars have now become memories.”
Nana added that the tattoos once represented her struggles but are now part of her healing: “I wrote down my feelings at that time in words. By honestly expressing, accepting, and embracing my flaws and pain, I overcame them. Everyone has pain, but it can be overcome. I want to give hope to others through music and wish happiness for all.”
The actress clarified that the only tattoo she chose to keep is the one on her leg, dedicated to her mother’s birth year.
This revelation comes three years after Nana stunned the public by appearing at the 2022 press conference for the film Confession with tattoos covering her body. Now, she has returned to a fresh look, symbolizing a new chapter in her personal and artistic journey.
Alongside this transformation, Nana is also embarking on her first solo music project. She is set to greet fans with her debut album Seventh Heaven 16, featuring the title track “GOD”.
Her candid post and artistic shift have sparked attention, highlighting both her resilience and her desire to deliver a message of hope.
