A man in his 30s has been arrested and formally detained after breaking into actress Nana’s ₩4.2 billion residence and threatening her family with a weapon. Despite the severity of the crime, the suspect claimed during the investigation that he “didn’t know it was a celebrity’s home.”
According to police reports released on November 17, the Uijeongbu District Court’s Namyangju branch held a warrant review and issued a detention order for the man, referred to as A, citing concerns over flight risk. He faces charges of aggravated robbery and assault.

The incident took place around 6 a.m. on November 15 in Acheon-dong, Guri, at Nana’s apartment. The suspect climbed up to her veranda using a ladder, entered through an unlocked door, and proceeded to threaten Nana and her mother with a weapon, demanding money. During the altercation, he reportedly choked Nana’s mother, causing physical injury.
However, Nana and her mother fought back and successfully subdued the intruder before calling the police. During questioning, A stated that he was unaware the home belonged to a celebrity and claimed he committed the crime out of financial desperation.
His explanation has sparked public outrage, with many netizens expressing disbelief and anger over his alleged ignorance and the severity of the attack. Nana’s agency had earlier released a statement describing the situation as “extremely dangerous,” adding that both Nana and her mother were seriously at risk. It was also revealed that Nana’s mother lost consciousness from the suspect’s assault, while Nana herself sustained injuries.

The apartment complex where the attack occurred is known for housing several celebrities, including Han So Hee. It also made headlines recently when TWICE’s Momo purchased a unit there for ₩4.3 billion in cash.
The case has intensified concerns over celebrity security and raised alarms about the safety of public figures even within seemingly secure residential areas.
