Namgoong Min Teases Heartfelt Melodrama Different from His Previous Works in ‘Lovers’ Press Conference
Namgoong Min appeared at the press conference for the new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Lovers’, held on August 4th.
‘Lovers’ is a historical melodrama that deals with the love of lovers who go through a turbulent war and the vitality of the people.
During the press conference, Namgoong Min stated, “Interestingly, I haven’t done many melodramas with romance in them. I’ve done many dramas where love does not exist, and some of those works have been successful.”
He continued, “I decided to do this project not because I saw ‘melodrama’ in the script, but because it was well-crafted and intriguing. There was melodrama within it.”
He further explained, “The writer included the idea of how people can change and do things for love, so I thought I could show a melodrama about a man who deeply loves a woman, infused with that sentiment.”
Namgoong Min teased the melodrama, “It will be more than just the usual melodrama compared to the ones I have done before.”
‘Lovers’ is a human historical melodrama that deals with the love of lovers who go through a turbulent war and the vitality of the people. It will air for the first time at 9:50 PM KST today.
