Nam Joo-hyuk’s new drama beat Song Kang’s in viewership ratings for the first time after the first two episode
tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama “Twenty-five Twenty-one” surpassed JTBC’s rival drama “Forecasting Love and Weather” in viewership ratings.
According to Nielsen Korea, a ratings survey company on the 14th, the second episode of “Twenty-five Twenty-one,” which aired on the 13th, recorded 8.01% national ratings. It also ranked first overall and first in dramas in the rankings by genre.
On the other hand, the JTBC drama ‘Forecasting Love and Weather‘ recorded 5.455%.
“Twenty Five, Twenty One,” which is set in 1998, stars Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Tae Ri as two young people who fall in love amidst the aftermath of the IMF financial crisis. Kim Tae-ri takes on the role of Na Hee-do, a high school fencing dreamer who lost her team due to the IMF, but is united with passion and enthusiasm and does not give up. Nam Joo-hyuk takes on the role of Baek Yi-jin – the eldest son of a chaebol family that was destroyed by the IMF crisis.
“Forecasting Love and Weather” is an office romance drama about the work and love lives of people who work at the Korea Meteorological Administration, Korea’s national weather forecast service. Park Min Young stars as general forecaster Jin Ha Kyung, who keeps her professional and personal lives strictly separate. Song Kang stars as special reporter Lee Si Woo, who is a free spirit but passionate when it comes to weather.
