In an exclusive phone interview with Xportsnews on December 11, actress Nam Bo-ra revealed, “I’m currently 12 weeks pregnant. Our wedding was in May, but we began preparing for pregnancy in March. We hoped to welcome a new family member within this year, and thankfully, it happened quickly.”
Her due date is mid-June next year. Nam Bo-ra added, “They say it’s a good month to give birth. My condition right now is really good. In the early weeks, I was extremely sleepy, which made work difficult, but once I passed 10 weeks, the fatigue lessened and I felt energized again. My morning sickness was strong around week 8–9, but disappeared after week 10.”
Sharing her family’s reaction, she said her parents were very happy but with a twist. “I showed my dad the ultrasound photo, and he said he didn’t need to see it,” she laughed. “He told me he’s already seen plenty of ultrasounds in his life.”

During the episode, a VCR segment shows a visitor arriving at Nam Bo-ra’s home. It was none other than her mother, making her first official appearance on the show. MC Boom and the cast welcomed her warmly, saying, “The creator of the 13 siblings is finally here.”
As soon as she entered the living room and saw the couple’s dog, Nam Bo-ra’s mother joked, “There should be a baby in this house, but there’s only a dog,” drawing laughter. Nam Bo-ra had frequently mentioned wanting to have a child soon after marriage, and her mother appeared to share the same wish.
When MC Boom carefully asked about her plans for a second generation, Nam Bo-ra surprised everyone with unexpected news.
“We’ve been working hard on planning for a baby and we succeeded,” she announced. The studio erupted in applause as she added, “I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant.”
She also revealed a recent pregnancy-related dream, saying, “I dreamed of a stingray,” which was met with celebratory reactions from the cast.
Nam Bo-ra went on to share a heartwarming video of her surprising her husband with the news, along with his reaction and the temporary nickname they chose for the baby. Interestingly, the couple had not yet informed both sides of the family at the time of filming, and her plans for the reveal will be shown in the full broadcast.
