On June 17, actress Nam Bo-ra personally announced that she had given birth to her first child, a baby boy, sharing both the joyful news and the emotional circumstances surrounding his birth.

The actress revealed that her son, affectionately nicknamed “Kongal” (“Little Bean”), was born on June 15. In a heartfelt message, Nam Bo-ra wrote: “Kongal came into the world on June 15. Nam Bo-ra explained that she had originally hoped to have a natural childbirth. According to the actress, she spent months preparing for a natural delivery by exercising regularly and maintaining a healthy diet.

However, everything changed during her final prenatal examination. Doctors informed her that her amniotic fluid levels had become critically low, making both natural labor and induced labor impossible. She recalled: “The doctor told me there was almost no amniotic fluid left. If we waited any longer, the baby could be in danger.” As a result, she underwent an emergency cesarean section.

The actress admitted that the sudden turn of events left her frightened and emotional. “I immediately burst into tears because everything happened so unexpectedly,” she shared. Despite her fears, Nam Bo-ra said she gathered her strength by focusing on her baby and entered the operating room determined to stay calm. She eventually welcomed her son at 8:24 p.m. on June 15.

Reflecting on the experience, she expressed deep gratitude and promised to raise her child with love and appreciation. “I will never forget this grateful feeling and will do my best to raise him beautifully.”
