In a recent episode of Channel 15ya, producer Na Young-seok showed heartfelt support for IVE’s An Yu-jin, responding to criticism surrounding her Golden cover.
During the interview with IVE, Na Young-seok carefully brought up the performance, noting its popularity but also the negative comments it received. The cover of Golden, originally from Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters OST, drew attention for Yu-jin’s powerful vocals. However, some netizens accused the video of excessive post-production.
Na, visibly frustrated, shared his thoughts: “I watched Yu-jin’s ‘Golden’ cover and thought, ‘She’s so cool.’ I was really happy watching it. But then I saw people saying all sorts of things, and it made me angry.”
The other IVE members quickly chimed in. Jang Wonyoung admitted she wasn’t even aware of the controversy, while Leeseo praised Yu-jin, saying, “But it was really well done.” Na agreed, adding, “It was amazing. I thought, ‘Look at this kid!’”

Another producer also pointed out that Yu-jin’s cover was the final video to top YouTube’s Trending chart before the feature was removed. Jokingly, Na teased, “Did Yu-jin make it disappear?”, which brought laughter to the set.
Beyond the controversy, Na Young-seok’s interaction with An Yu-jin revealed a fatherly side. He recalled witnessing her steady composure during the Lollapalooza sound accident , admiring how she trembled but still led her group responsibly. Throughout the show, he praised her growth as IVE’s leader, calling her progress “something to be proud of.”

The video ended on a lighter note with Yu-jin playfully snatching Na’s glasses, showcasing their warm chemistry.
This candid exchange not only highlighted Yu-jin’s resilience and talent but also underlined Na Young-seok’s genuine admiration, sparking reactions from fans who appreciated the “dad-like” support for the young idol.
