Kim So Hyun and Hwang Min Hyun flutter viewers’ hearts with their behind-the-scenes moments on “My Lovely Liar” set.
On July 27th, the production team of tvN’s new Mon-Tue drama “My Lovely Liar” (directed by Nam Sung Woo/ written by Seo Jung Eun) released behind-the-scenes cuts of Kim So Hyun and Hwang Min Hyun, showing a glimpse of their visual chemistry and acting synergy.
“My Lovely Liar” is a rom-com about the romance between ‘liar hunter’ Mok Sol Hee (Kim So Hyun), who can hear all lies, and ‘genius composer’ Kim Do Ha (Hwang Min Hyun), who hides a secret. It offers a unique excitement of romance combined with a sense of reality-based fantasy and mystery.
The still cuts released by the production team show the lovely behind moments of Kim So Hyun and Hwang Min Hyun. Unlike her character Mok Sol Hee, who doubts everything because of her ability to hear lies, actress Kim So Hyun brightens up the set with her irresistible smile. Hwang Min Hyun also plays the role of a mood-maker with his bright energy. The scene of Post-it notes with various colors attached to the scripts in their hands proves the two actors’ passion for the project.
In particular, the two-shot pictures of Kim So Hyun and Hwang Min Hyun captivate viewers. Kim So Hyun makes a V pose in front of the camera, while Hwang Min Hyun impresses fans with his soft smile. As Mok Sol Hee and Kim Do Ha meet and change each other, Kim So Hyun and Hwang Min Hyun’s synergy becomes more important than anything else as they have to delicately match their diverse emotional lines. The chemistry when the two lean their heads towards each other and immerse themselves in monitoring the scenes already raises anticipation for the story they will complete.
Director Nam Sung Woo mentioned Kim So Hyun and Hwang Min Hyun’s romance as one of his focuses when directing this drama. He shared, “I find the narrative of a woman who considers her ability as a curse meeting a man who desperately needs that ability and saving the life of each other. The process of Mok Sol Hee and Kim Do Ha getting to know each other despite their differences was directed carefully to look cute yet affectionate”, adding, “Both Kim So Hyun and Hwang Min Hyun showed a variety of emotional expressions and perfectly brought about the charms of their characters even better. The two will show sides that they haven’t revealed before.”
“My Lovely Liar” will premiere at 8:50 p.m. on July 31st.
