“My Demon” receives positive reviews from foreign media “Song Kang and Kim Yoo-jung’s fantasy rom-com is all things right”

SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama “My Demon” continues to receive positive reviews from foreign media

On Nov 26th (local time), the foreign media outlet “PINKVILLA” reviewed episodes 1 and 2 of “My Demon“. They stated, “Song Kang and Kim Yoo-jung’s fantasy rom-com is cheeky, beautiful and all things right.

“My Demon” is a fantasy romantic comedy drama about the contract marriage between Do Do-hee (Kim Yoo-jung), the devilish heiress of a conglomerate, and Jung Gu-won (Song Kang), a demon who temporarily loses his powers. Since its premiere on Nov 24th, it has gained significant popularity not only domestically but also internationally.

PINKVILLA praised, “Song Kang fits right into the role of a devilishly handsome demon, who looks out only for himself.” Regarding Kim Yoo-jung (born in 1999), who played the role of the 28-year-old woman Do Do-hee, they said, “Kim Yoo-jung’s transformation into adult roles has been an anticipated change as she slips into a 28-year-old woman’s character being fairly younger in real life.”

PINKVILLA hoped, “As major events have unfolded right in the first week, we hope that the show is not dragged with filler episodes towards the second half.” They assessed, “The contrast between the worlds of the two leads is made very obvious and intriguing. As typical head dip and light skinship scenes take the course, the heart-fluttering building-up of the chemistry between the two is enough to keep you tuned in.

Meanwhile, according to Nielsen Korea, the average viewership ratings for episodes 1 and 2 of “My Demon” were 4.5% and 3.4%, respectively. “My Demon” is a 16-episode series airing every Friday and Saturday at 10 PM on SBS.
