Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun-jin, the lead actors of MBC’s popular drama “My Dearest”, are set to appear on “Knowing Bros” to share various stories
According to reports on Dec 13th, Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun-jin will participate in the recording of JTBC’s variety program “Knowing Bros” on Dec 14th.
Set during the Qing invasion of Joseon, “My Dearest”, which concluded on Nov 18th, portrays the inspiring story of people who find hope and positivity even in the most challenging times. Originally planned for 20 episodes, it was extended by one episode due to its popularity.
The final episode recorded a nationwide average viewership of 12.9%, setting its own highest record, including parts 1 and 2. This figure corresponds to the top spot in the same time slot and the top spot in all channels among Friday-Saturday dramas.
This work received the Grand Prize at the “2023 Grimae Awards” held by the Korean Television Producers Association. Actors Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun-jin received the Best Actor and Best Actress awards, respectively. “My Dearest” achieved a remarkable feat by winning 5 awards, including Directing Award and Lighting Award. They are also considered strong candidates for the “2023 MBC Drama Awards”, which will be held on Dec 30th.
Namkoong Min previously appeared on “Knowing Bros” in 2019. He revealed his entertainment skills by saying, “I’m scared of Ho-dong. On ‘X-Man’, when I tried to speak, Ho-dong interrupted me.”
For Ahn Eun-jin, this marks her first appearance on “Knowing Bros”. Recently, she appeared on tvN’s variety show “You Quiz on the Block” and garnered attention for sharing behind-the-scenes stories from the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards. She also discussed her health during the filming of “My Dearest”.
Expectations are rising for what new charms the two actors will show on “Knowing Bros”.
