On September 19th, movie distributor CJ ENM reported that the movie “Possessed” (working title), starring Kang Dong-won and Huh Joon-ho, had begun filming in earnest.
“Possessed” tells the story that takes place when the fake exorcist Dr. Cheon is justified in the case of a girl who was strongly possessed. This movie is based on the webtoon of the same name by Kim Hong-tae.
Kang Dong-won will appear as Dr. Cheon, who can’t hear or see ghosts, but solves cases with his insights like a ghost, while Huh Joon-ho plays Beom-cheon, who hunts the spirits of shamans.
Lee Dong-hwi was cast as Dr. Cheon’s partner Kang Do-ryeong. Kim Jong-soo will play boss Hwang, who has known Dr. Cheon for a long time. In addition, Esom was cast for the role of Yoo-kyung, who visits and asks Dr. Cheon to save her possessed brother.
This is the debut film of director Kim Sung-sik, who worked as an assistant director for movies, such as “Parasite” and “Decision to Leave”.

In this regard, Kang Dong-won said, “The first shooting ended pleasantly because everyone, including the director, boasted amazing harmony. It is an interesting film, so I hope we can have a lot of on the filming set”, expressing his feelings about the first shooting day.
Director Kim Sung-sik also shared, “Thanks to the staff and actors, I was able to finish the first shooting safely today. The movie filming has finally begun. I feel so overwhelmed and grateful.”
Based on Naver webtoon “Possessed”, the movie version, which is currently being filmed, is expected to show a combination of fresh materials, attractive characters, and trustworthy actors.
