Ham Woo Ri, the model who previously confessed that she was sexually harassed, notified fans of her temporary hiatus.
On July 26th, Ham Woo Ri posted on the bulletin board of AfreecaTV, saying “I’m taking a break. I’ll be back after organizing everything.”
Netizens shared her notice on FM Korea and left messages of encouragement, such as “I hope you take a good rest then come back”, “You must have had a hard time meeting such a bad person”, etc.
Earlier on the 25th, Ham Woo Ri made a post on her Instagram, exposing that she was sexually harassed by Jang, CEO of Artgravia, the company that takes adult-themed photo shoots.
Sharing an article related to Artgravia, Ham Woo Ri said, “Articles about the company are coming out. I know that the content is all true, and as a rookie, I also experienced sexual harassment in the same context.”
She continued, “I couldn’t do anything by myself, so I had to keep my mouth shut. Please help me.”
On the 24th, Munhwa Ilbo reported that exclusive models of a ‘gravia’ company requested the police to investigate the repeated sexual assaults by their agency’s CEO.
According to the report, three models from Artgravia filed a complaint against their CEO Jang on July 20th on charges of repeated rape, repeated attempted rape, repeated sexual assault and illegal filming.
The models who submitted the complaint claimed that they were sexually harassed 22 times by B from February 2020 to February of this year. On the other hand, Jang is known to have denied all the allegations.
Later, model Kang In Kyung caused a big stir online when she revealed the horrifying incidents between herself and Jang through a live broadcast on Twitch on the 25th. The victims appeared on the broadcast and directly shared their experiences.
In addition, other current and former models of Artgravia, including Son Ye Eun, Ham Woo Ri, Oh Deok Hwa, Jing Jyu, and Han Ye Ri, have publicly disclosed their positions through social media and live broadcasts.
