Mnet to broadcast K-classic dance survival program “Stage Man Fighter”

Mnet is introducing a new dance survival program

According to Newsen on March 27th, Mnet is preparing to broadcast “Stage Man Fighter”.

Stage Man Fighter” is a program that follows the process of K-classic male dancers with outstanding dance skills and diverse personalities competing to reach the top.

Previously, Mnet solidified its position as a prominent dance entertainment show powerhouse by consecutively producing hit shows such as “Dancing 9”, “Hit The Stage”, “Somebody”, “Street Woman Fighter” (SWF) Seasons 1 and 2, “Street Dance Girls Fighter” (SDGF) Seasons 1 and 2, and “Street Man Fighter” (SMF). The dancers featured in each program garnered attention as performers who filled the stage on their own, rather than being someone’s backup dancer, thus enjoying a new heyday.

PD Choi Jung-nam, who directed “Dancing 9” and subsequent programs such as “Hit The Stage”, “Somebody”, “SWF” and “SMF”, has consistently shown interest and passion for classic dance. In an interview with Newsen to commemorate the end of “SMF” in 2022, PD Choi Jung-nam stated, “While we are currently focusing on the street genre, there are various other dance genres that we can explore. I think those who have felt the charm of street dance in the current season may also feel the charm of classic dance in the next season. If given the opportunity to plan a program, I would like to change the genre and introduce dancers from different genres.

Attention is focused on what talented dancers will be discovered and rediscovered through “Stage Man Fighter”.
