Japanese actor Mizukami Koshi, known for his growing popularity across both dramas and films, has officially confirmed that he is in a relationship with an older non-celebrity woman.

Koshi made his acting debut in the 2018 J-Drama Meet Me After School, and in 2025 alone he starred in multiple major projects, including the drama Windbreaker and the film Monster, cementing his position as one of Japan’s most promising rising stars.

Recently, Japanese outlet Josei Seven reported that Koshi was seen on a casual shopping date with his new girlfriend. Photos showed the pair browsing inside a supermarket, with Koshi carrying the shopping bags as they left the store.

The actor had not previously gone public with any romantic relationships, making the sighting his first confirmed dating news.

When approached by reporters, Mizukami Koshi openly acknowledged the relationship, saying, “Yes, we’re dating. I don’t think it’s something I need to hide.”

However, his agency HAKU quickly addressed circulating rumors that the couple was already living together. A representative stated: “We leave his private matters to him, but we’ve been told they are not living together.”

Fans reacted positively to the news, praising Koshi for his straightforward response and respectful attitude toward his private life. As his career continues to rise, many are watching with curiosity to see how the public relationship may influence his future roles and image.
