Minah discusses her role in ‘Miss Fortune’ and the strong bond among Girl’s Day members
On October 5th, the press screening of the movie “Miss Fortune” was held at Yongsan CGV. Director Lee Seung-jun, along with actors Uhm Jung-hwa, Song Sae-byeok, Bang Minah, Son Byeong-ho, Park Ho-san, and Kim Jae-hwa, attended the event.
“Miss Fortune” is a crime action film that follows Ji-hye (Uhm Jung-hwa), a professional operative with radiant skills, getting caught up in an unintended incident while planning her final big operation.
Minah played Ji-young, Ji-hye’s daughter in the film and shared the mother-daughter chemistry with Uhm Jung-hwa. Bang Minah said, “At first, I felt awkward that Uhm Jung-hwa sunbaenim became my mother. But after the initial awkwardness, I felt comfortable with her, thanks to her help. Honestly, she seems more like an older sister than a mother, but on set, she really led and took care of me like a mother.”
All members of Girl’s Day are active as actresses. Sojin, Minah, Hyeri, and Yura are actively starring in different works.
Minah said, “When we gather, we naturally talk about work and acting. Rather than just cheering each other on with ‘let’s stay strong,’ we listen to each other’s stories, empathize, and naturally support each other. What makes us the happiest is that we are all working tirelessly. That’s the greatest source of strength for us moving forward,” expressing her love for the group.
“Miss Fortune” is scheduled to be released on October 11th.
