The drama “Meteor Garden”, starring the late actress Barbie Hsu, was created based on the famous manga “Boys Over Flower” by Japanese writer Yoko Kamio. Upon hearing the news of Barbie Hsu’s sudden passing, the writer paid tribute to the late actress.

Earlier, the cast of “Meteor Garden” also paid tribute to Barbie Hsu. Vic Chou recalled his past memories with the late actress.

Actress and singer Yang Chenglin, who played Shancai’s best friend in the drama, was also very shocked upon receiving the news of Barbie Hsu’s passing. On February 5th, Fan BingBing also paid tribute to the late Taiwanese actress, whom she worked with in the drama “Future X-Cops” (2010). Fan BingBing uploaded a picture of Barbie Hsu smiling brightly when participating in a charity race in 2004. Barbie Hsu’s lovely and happy appearance in her young days left fans emotional.

After divorcing businessman Wang Xiaofei, in 2021, she spent time taking care of her children instead of returning to the entertainment industry. In 2022, she married Korean star DJ Koo (Koo Jun-yeop).
According to the media on February 3rd, Barbie Hsu’s sister revealed that the actress had passed away due to acute pneumonia during her Lunar New Year vacation in Japan. Her husband, DJ Koo, will bring her ashes back to Taiwan on the 6th.
