A new episode of MBC’s investigative program PD Notebook is drawing significant attention after previewing allegations involving rapper and producer MC Mong and Cha Ga-won.

Ahead of the broadcast, entertainment company One Hundred Label issued a statement warning that it will pursue strong legal action against the spread of false information and defamatory content.

According to the production team, the episode titled “MC Mong and the Chairman’s K-Pop Business Secrets” focuses on recent disputes involving artists under One Hundred Label and its affiliated companies.

Several artists, including members of THE BOYZ, singer Lee Mujin, Lee Seung-gi, and EXO-CBX members Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, as well as VIVIZ, have reportedly raised concerns regarding settlement payments and contractual matters.

The program claims to examine the management structure and financial operations of the company amid those disputes.

According to the show’s preview, the production team obtained accounting records from individuals who were reportedly involved in managing company finances.

The episode is expected to explore allegations concerning financial transactions within affiliated companies and examine claims regarding the flow of funds connected to former business partners.

The preview also references overseas activities involving MC Mong and Cha Ga-won, including claims gathered through interviews conducted in Las Vegas.

At this stage, these allegations remain claims presented by the program and have not been established in court.

In footage released ahead of the broadcast, Cha Ga-won rejected the allegations. “All money received from business partners was used for production costs. None of it was used for personal purposes or inappropriate activities.”

She also made headlines by stating: “If I were to speak out, the entertainment industry could be turned upside down.”

MC Mong similarly denied the allegations during a live social media broadcast. “How could anyone gamble using company money? I don’t understand where this is coming from.”

The artist strongly rejected suggestions that company funds had been used improperly.

Through attorney Hyun Dong-yup, the company released an official statement condemning what it described as malicious rumors, false information, insults, and defamatory comments directed toward its executives and employees.

The agency stated that it is actively monitoring online communities, portal sites, social media platforms, and video-sharing services for potentially unlawful content.

According to the statement, evidence is being collected against individuals accused of spreading false information.

The company further emphasized that it intends to pursue legal action without warning, settlement discussions, or leniency. “We will not tolerate criminal acts that damage the reputation of the company and its employees.”

The upcoming episode has already generated intense debate within the K-pop industry due to the high-profile names involved and the ongoing disputes surrounding artist settlements and management practices.

As the allegations remain contested, attention is now focused on the full broadcast and any subsequent responses from the individuals and companies involved.

For now, both MC Mong and One Hundred Label continue to deny wrongdoing while preparing for potential legal battles in response to the claims raised ahead of the program’s airing.
