A heated online exchange has erupted between rapper MC Mong and actress Lee Da-in, wife of singer-actor Lee Seung-gi.

On September 4, MC Mong posted an Instagram update directly targeting Lee Da-in, writing: “Mind your own business!” and adding, “Whether I post a photo from a year ago or one I like, would I ever abandon my family like you?”

This sharp remark came after Lee Da-in had publicly expressed displeasure the same morning. She criticized MC Mong for uploading a black-and-white group photo featuring herself, her husband Lee Seung-gi, her sister Lee Yu-bi, and Cha Ga-won, chairman of One Hundred.

Lee Da-in accused MC Mong of stirring unnecessary attention, saying: “Why post a photo over a year old just to cause noise now? I really don’t understand.” She even uploaded the original color version of the image, complete with a timestamp showing it was taken on July 18, 2024, at 11:17 PM.

MC Mong and Lee Seung-gi have shared a close relationship since their time together on KBS2’s 2 Days & 1 Night. The rapper also co-founded entertainment company One Hundred with Cha Ga-won, though he stepped down as general producer in June this year.

The birthday post, which was intended as a celebratory upload, unexpectedly turned into a public clash between MC Mong and Lee Da-in.

In June, MC Mong announced his withdrawal from business activities at One Hundred and Big Planet Made, citing health struggles. He revealed that he had been battling severe depression and health issues requiring surgery, which made music activities difficult. He also hinted at plans to study abroad.

Lee Da-in married Lee Seung-gi in April 2023. The couple welcomed their first daughter in February 2024.

With MC Mong’s biting remark about “abandoning family,” the feud has sparked intense debate online, with netizens questioning whether the conflict will escalate further or be resolved privately.
